You may register online beginning March 31, 2006 or pick up a registration form at:

You can also download a registration form online or register by email. To do this, click on the “Play” link and follow the directions.

When is the registration deadline?
The final deadline for entering a team into the Streetball tournament is June 9, 2006. Registration forms received after this date will not be processed. Under no circumstances will the final registration deadline be extended.
What is the fee for players?
The early registration deadline is May 26th and the fee is $100 per team. The late registration deadline is June 9th and the fee is $120 per team. If you register online before May 26th then you save $5 and pay a fee of $95. Online registration is available March 31, 2006.
What time does the tournament start?
Player check-in opens at 6:30 a.m. on June 24th and games begin at 8:30 a.m. Please check in an hour before your first game time.
Where is the Streetball Louisville tournament located and how do I get there?
The tournament is located on the corner of Preston and Witherspoon Streets near Waterfront Park and Louisville Slugger Field. Click here to view directions to Streetball.

What are the age divisions/age requirements?
Children’s Divisions – 8 to 12 years old
Youth Divisions – 13 to 17 years old
Adult Divisions – 18 & Up
How are the divisions broken up?
Children’s Divisions

To participate in an adult division, at least one player must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age and no player may be under sixteen (16) years of age.
What if the division does not contain sixteen (16) teams to make up a full division?
The division may be placed in a half division consisting of eight (8) teams or a round robin bracket in which a teams’ win/loss record determines the champion of the bracket.
How many players can be on a team?
Each team may have 3 or 4 players on a team with the 4th player as an alternate.
Can I play on more than one team?
Yes, you can play on as many teams as you like, but the Streetball Louisville office does not have control over any scheduling conflicts.
How many games is each team guaranteed?
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games unless the absence of another team forces your team to receive a BYE.
How long is a game?
All games will be 16 points, win by two to a maximum of 20 points, or twenty-five (25) minutes. In the event of a tie, during normal play (excluding championship games) a coin will be flipped to determine which team gets the ball first. The first team to score will win the game.
Are individual players accepted and placed on teams by Streetball Louisville?
Streetball Louisville is a team pre-registration tournament. We do not place individual players on teams.
I didn’t get my first captain’s mailing. What do I do?
On the home page, click on “Play” and “Team Info” to see if your team is registered. If your team is registered, and you have not received a mailing by June 9, 2006, please call the Streetball Louisville office at 502-636-1888.
Can I view my first game time online? Do I still need to check-in the day of the event?
Yes, game times will be mailed in the second captain’s mailing a few days before the tournament. Game times will also be available online a few days before the tournament. On the home page, click on “Play” and “Team Info” and look for your team name. However, you must check-in the day of the tournament to receive your team bracelets, t-shirts and show proof of identification.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: These schedules are not official - changes may be made! The Master Scoreboard is your official source for game information - each team is responsible for checking the Master Scoreboard at the beginning of the tournament as well as before and after each game to view any changes made throughout tournament!
The Streetball Louisville office has contacted my team because there is a problem with our team’s registration. What should I do?
Return the phone call immediately to resolve the problem in a timely manner. Call the Streetball office at 502-636-1888.
One or more of my players won’t be able to participate. Can I replace them with someone else?
After a team has registered, roster changes will be allowed until June 9, 2006. After June 9, 2006 and the weekend of the tournament, roster changes will be honored ONLY if the player has equal or lesser qualifications than the player being replaced. (For example: A player 6’0”, 180 pounds and 20 years of age could be replaced by a player that is 5’11”, 180 pounds and 21 years of age but could not be replaced by a 6’3”, 200 pound 28 year old.) ID is required!
The captain must download a player change form or call the Streetball office at 502-636-1888. All player changes require a fee of $10.
If I am under eighteen (18), do my parents have to be present? Can another parent/guardian sign a waiver for a player 17 and under?
If you are under 18 and your parents/guardian has completed a waiver form then they do not have to be present. Only a parent or guardian can sign a waiver for a child seventeen (17) and under. If a parent’s signature is not on file a player will not be eligible to participate.
Does each player need an ID while at the event?
Yes, each player should have a government issued ID or birth certificate with him or her on both event days. Copies of birth certificates are permitted for children without photo ID.
What is an ID bracelet and does each player need to wear one?
ID bracelets are issued at check-in by Streetball Louisville staff and must be worn by each member of the team for the duration of the tournament. Players who remove their bracelets before the end of the tournament on Sunday will be charged a $5 fee and must provide proof of identification to receive a new one.
What is the procedure for a protest or dispute during a game?
The captain has the right to explain a call that has been made. If there is a dispute, then a court monitor supervisor will be called over to resolve the situation. If the teams are still unable to reach a resolution, the Streetball Louisville Event Manager will make the final decision. The clock will continue to run while the dispute is being resolved except for the last three (3) minutes of the game.
Do we need a coach?
A coach is not required, however, if a team has a coach they are welcome to participate.
Are games officiated by referees?
Children’s divisions age’s eight (8) to twelve (12) are officiated by referees. All other divisions call their own fouls and are supervised by volunteer court monitors. Please respect your court monitors.
What do I get if I play?
- An official Streetball player T-shirt.
- Three guaranteed games of basketball
- You will be helping the at-risk kids and families of The Cabbage Patch
What do I get if I win?
All division champions, runners-up and winners of the loser brackets will receive an official Streetball Louisville trophy.
Are we allowed to drink and smoke at the Streetball Louisville tournament?
The Streetball Louisville tournament is a tobacco-free and alcohol-free event. Please be courteous of others.
Are animals allowed at the event site?
Streetball Louisville does not allow animals at the event site during the tournament.
Is there a fee for spectators?
There is no fee for spectators.
Does the Streetball Louisville provide hotel accommodations for players?
Streetball Louisville has a host hotel, which offers a discount to all Streetball players. Our host hotel is:
