We Need You!

Volunteers make Streetball Louisville happen and we want you to be a part of our success. It is only through volunteers, that we are able to create a bigger and better event. All volunteers receive an official Streetball Louisville T-shirt and food and drink during their shift.

The Role of a Court Monitor

Court monitors play a very important role in the success of the event. We are looking for individuals who are committed to Streetball Louisville and can enforce the rules of the tournament.

Court monitor responsibilities include:

  • Have players sign a waiver and a sportsmanship pledge at the beginning of each game
  • Record the score on the official score sheet
  • Record fouls and inform teams of current foul status
  • Settle disagreements/disputes of calls between teams with a coin flip. Court Monitors, through the coin flip, will have the FINAL SAY in all disputes. Any questions, complaints or comments should be taken up with the Court Monitor or Court Monitor Supervisor stationed at the court.

Court monitors will need to attend the pre-event training session held on Friday, June 23, 2006 at the Executive Inn. The training will last about an hour and you can attend any time between 12:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.

Louisville, KY 40209

All court monitors will receive an official Streetball Louisville T-shirt, food and drink during their shift and other gifts based on the amount of time committed to the courts.

COURT MONITORS ARE NOT REFEREES AND DO NOT CALL FOULS OR VIOLATIONS.
